Do you need to update the version of Chrome on your Android device in order to run the CanPay POS software for Merchants?

Follow these easy steps below:

1) On the device you are programming, open your browser and go to CanPay's file hosting service: https://canpay.box.com/v/chromeupdate to download the Chrome software (this will be labeled "ChromeUpdate" with a version number).

2) Once at box.com, click on the ChromeUpdate file

3) Then Click the "Download" button

4) When you do, you may get a Popup Warning. If you do, Click OK

5) Chrome will download to your device and give you the "Open" option. Click Open.

6) You may get a warning that you are updating an existing application. If you do, click "Install."

7) Some devices may begin to install immediately. Most devices will provide a warning because you are loading the software outside of the Play Store. If you see this, follow the instructions and click "Settings."

8) Once at the settings screen, click "Unknown Sources" to allow this download.

9) Click OK on the Unknown sources popup.

10) Click "Install" when the option is provided.

11) If you see a popup about Google regularly checking device activity, click "Decline."

12) Once the installation completes you will have the option to "Open" Chrome. You can either select this or return to your Home screen as your device has been successfully updated.
